Meeting the Challenge: Preparing for Mandarin at School
Mandarin for Staff and Teachers
The addition of China-related topics into the curriculum has significantly broadened students' global awareness, cultural understanding, and perspectives. Transitioning to include Mandarin in the school system, however, represents a substantial commitment, potentially introducing linguistic and cultural challenges.
Complimentary Mandarin Taster Sessions
To support schools in this venture, we offer complimentary Mandarin language taster sessions specifically designed for school staff and teachers. These sessions aim to provide a foundational understanding of Mandarin' Chinese and nuances involved in teaching and learning the language within an educational setting.
Participants will experience a seminar-style introduction, followed by hands-on activities. These include:
- An overview of Mandarin and Chinese culture
- Practical skills in writing Chinese strokes and characters
- Basic conversational phrases for daily use
