Advancing Renal Nursing Practice (online)

This module is aimed at NMC-registered nurses who have gained a minimum of two years of experience in caring for patients with renal disease and wish to further enhance their knowledge and skills.

Care and Management of the Renal Patient (online)

This module is aimed at NMC-registered nurses who have gained some experience in caring for patients with renal disease and wish to consolidate and further enhance their knowledge and skills in this area.

Caring for the Child in the Emergency Department

This module is open to nurses who work in an emergency department and would benefit from enhancing their underpinning clinical knowledge in caring for children and young people.

Dissertation

This unit requires students to undertake a substantial piece of written work in the form of a critical review of the literature on a topic relevant to their area of practice.

Independent/Supplementary Prescribing

This unit is for nurses and midwives working in primary and secondary care who want to qualify as independent/supplementary prescribers.

Masters Level Study Skills

This unit is designed for those who are new to working at the masters level in the health sciences, providing an introduction to the nursing and midwifery masters programmes and the skills needed to work effectively.

Neonatal Intensive Care

This module is designed to enable registered nurses and midwives currently working within the neonatal environment to develop an in-depth knowledge of the pathophysiology of preterm and term neonates.

Professional Midwifery Advocate

The programme is aimed at those midwives who have been nominated by the provider Trusts to become PMAs and who have not previously undertaken the Preparation of Supervisors of Midwives programme.

Home students

The standard fee for each CPD module in Nursing and Midwifery for home students is as follows. Other fees may apply depending on your employer.

Overseas students

The standard fee for each CPD module in Nursing and Midwifery for overseas students is as follows.

  • 2023/24 â€“ Â£128 per credit
  • 2024/25 – Â£133 per credit
