Pharmacy facilities
As a 91̽»¨ Pharmacy student you'll benefit from high quality facilities across our campus - including a dispensary, specialist laboratories and University teaching spaces.
Simulated clinical teaching
Throughout your studies, you'll have plenty of opportunities to develop your clinical and prescribing skills and carry out inter-professional learning with students from across the Faculty of Health, including students from our Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery courses.
You will put your theory into practice in a safe, supportive environment on central campus, working with real-life patients from our Patients as Educators programme to develop your physical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
Clinical Skills Centre
We are currently redeveloping our clinical skills facilities at Samuel Fox House - based at Northern General Hospital - to include a suite of dedicated pharmacy teaching spaces. These will feature a large, fully-stocked dispensary, alongside consultation rooms and a community pharmacy counter, as well as dedicated teaching rooms to practice your clinical skills, and support areas for student self-study.
These new facilities are set to open to students in 2026.
Below you'll find 3D rendered images of our Pharmacy spaces. These are concept designs and are subject to change.
Laboratory facilities
The majority of your science laboratory sessions will take place in the Faculty of Science's large chemistry teaching labs. These laboratories are fully equipped with the specialist equipment needed for practical sessions in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutics.
You will also learn in the University's cutting-edge Diamond Pilot Plant which gives a unique insight into industrial manufacturing and our dedicated biological lab facilities.
