Arts Tower

At 22 storeys, one of the UK's tallest academic buildings and a convenient landmark when navigating to, and finding your way around, the campus


Firth Court

One of the oldest and most distinctive buildings on campus. Opened in 1905, it originally housed most of the departments in the University.


ICOSS building

The Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences houses up to 100 researchers in fields such as Criminology and Health and Social Care.


Sir Frederick Mappin Building

The mappin building looking from the front.

Opened in 1904, the Sir Frederick Mappin Building houses the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic and Electrical Engineering.


Information Commons

Information Commons

Our new Information Commons combines IT resources with library facilities and a range of study spaces. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.

Applications are open for existing offer holders for programmes starting in autumn 2025.
