Creative writing for Wellbeing

Thursday 21 March, 1pm - 2pm
Tuesday 16 April, 1pm - 2pm

Writing has long been a way for us to express ourselves and share our feelings with different communities. As part of the It’s All a Show: Fairground Showmen, Identity and Mental Health exhibition, we will be running creative writing activities that explore the nature of mental health discussion and the evolution of the stigma around mental health, as well as how writing can bind and break communities.

The session will be run by poet and writer Georgie Broad, and will involve different activities offering participants the chance to write and create with different mediums and in different styles, from letter writing to blackout poetry, as well as a chance to share their work.
