How we do research
Inclusive culture
iHuman is dedicated to the promotion of inclusive, supportive and facilitative ways of working that support our researchers and professional services colleagues.
We are committed to the Concordat on Researcher Development and actively involved in a number of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
Members of iHuman are also involved with the Wellcome Anti-ableist Research Culture (WAARC) project: A Wellcome Trust Institutional Funding for Research Culture Award which centres disability as the phenomenon through which to rethink positive research culture from recruitment, to working conditions, to research methods and dissemination.
Participatory Research
Our researchers work as part of the Participatory Research Network at the University of 91̽»¨ (PRN@TUoS).
The PRN is an established cross-faculty initiative bringing together like-minded researchers who use – or are interested in using – participatory methods in their work, led by Dr Kirsty Liddiard.
