Description
The CESET project and Loughborough University are co-organising a webinar on Wednesday 6th November 2024 11am to 12.30pm to explore the strategies to realize resilient community energy systems.
Building resilient community energy systems is critical to ensure clean and reliable energy access to vulnerable communities residing in remote and risk prone regions, especially in developing countries of Global South. Realizing resilient communities and sustainable energy infrastructure are particularly relevant in achieving the goals of SDG-7 (energy access), SDG-11 (resilient communities) and SDG-13 (climate action).
This event brings together the researchers and practitioners working in the space of sustainable energy transition in Global South. It includes presentations on diverse topics exploring interrelationship between community energy systems and community resilience, role of gender equality and social inclusion in building resilience and similar streams. There will be a panel discussion with experts on central theme, 'how to build resilient community energy systems in practice'? This event will provide an opportunity for exchange of ideas among participants and building new collaborations.
