Profile

I joined the University of 91̽»¨ in 2021 as an NIHR clinical lecturer in primary care. I am a GP and I divide my time between the university and clinical practice.

I qualified in medicine at Fudan University in Shanghai. I specialised in anaesthesia and was awarded an MD. I then came to the UK and gained a PhD in Biology at the University of York. I continued working in laboratory medicine as a post-doctoral research fellow, before returning to clinical practice in 2014, completing my RCGP training in 2020.

My main research interests are in the field of care for older adults with complex needs. I am particularly interested in improving cancer survivor’s quality of life. I am currently carrying out research around improving bone health for patients with prostate cancer receiving hormone treatment. I am a Prostate Cancer UK Clinical Champion.
