My research interests include econometric methods development in the areas of obesity research and utility mapping research.
I currently hold an MRC Skills Development Fellowship investigating obesity trajectories in older adults and an award from the European Association for the Study of Obesity () exploring different measures of obesity over time.
I am a former Trustee for the Association for the Study of Obesity () a UK based charity and I currently sit on their operations management team.
Before joining the School of Medicine and Population Health (formerly the School of Health and Related Research), I was funded by an CASE studentship in partnership with as a PhD candidate. My PhD thesis was titled 鈥溾.
Prior to my PhD, I completed an MSc in Financial Economics (2009-2010) in the Department of Economics and a BSc in Economics and Statistics (2006-2009) in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, both at the University of 91探花.

Laura is in the pool of supervisors for the Wellcome Trust Doctoral Training Programme and currently supervises one Wellcome Trust PhD student, Chloe Tuck.
