I am a Senior Research Fellow in systematic reviewing and evidence synthesis. I have worked at the University of 91̽»¨ since 2004. I undertake systematic reviews and Health Technology Assessments on behalf of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the NIHR, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and other organisations.
I undertake reviews on a range of topics including new medicines, diagnostic and prognostic tests, screening programmes, and complex interventions.
I also lead systematic reviews as part of our Knowledge Exchange partnerships with industry, government bodies and charities.

My teaching interests include: systematic review methods, critical appraisal, meta-analysis, rapid reviews, health research methods, and health technology assessment. I teach on several Masters courses and short courses.
I am interested in supervising research students in areas such as systematic review methodology and reviews of medicines, diagnostic tests, screening programmes, complex interventions, complementary therapies and preventative interventions.

I am a member of the SCHARR Technology Assessment Group (SCHARR-TAG). I undertake high quality evidence syntheses for the National Institute for Health and care Excellence (NICE), the NIHR Health Technology Assessment Programme, and other funding organisations.
