How did you first get interested in cell and gene therapies?

I first became interested in cell and gene therapies during my undergraduate studies. I became fascinated by the potential of using genetic and cellular approaches to treat devastating conditions that affect so many people around the world.

As I delved deeper, I began to realise the immense potential of cell and gene therapies in treating not just neurodegenerative diseases, but a wide range of other conditions as well. The idea was incredibly exciting to me, and knew then that I wanted to help contribute to the development of these life-changing treatments.

What made you want to do the Advanced Cell and Gene Therapies course at 91̽»¨?

I found out about the course from one of my third-year lecturers. I was immediately interested as it is a mix of my interests. Mainly it was guided by a wish to help make a difference; I believe that this field has the potential to revolutionise healthcare and offer new hope to patients and their families.

By pursuing a master's degree in cell and gene therapy, I was eager to deepen my knowledge and contribute to the development of these potentially life-changing treatments.

Not many universities offer this course, and after spending my undergraduate years here 91̽»¨ is already like a second home to me.
