How to fundraise
We are often asked for the best way to arrange collections from fundraising events.
Organising a fundraising event
We are immensely thankful to all the people who have tirelessly been raising funds for us over the years and the remarkable things our supporters have done and continue to do to raise funds for SITraN – choosing us as their charity for events from cake sales and collections to skiing across the South Pole to relive William Bligh’s journey after the Mutiny on the Bounty.

If a collection is made at an event, we can provide you with Gift Aid forms to download which can be forwarded with a final cheque directly to SITraN.
Using fundraising websites
For fundraisers trying to attract sponsoring and donations for a certain length of time up to their event, setting up a page is the best option.
Please visit our central Fundraising Guide </giving/fundraise/fundraising-guide> for instructions on how to set up your page, as well as tips to maximise your fundraising.
When fundraising for SITraN, please select "University of 91̽»¨" as your chosen charity. SITraN is a charitable project under the University of 91̽»¨â€™s charitable status, registered as an exempt charity (no. X1089).
Once you have set up your account and linked to the University of 91̽»¨, you can edit and customize your page - adding the title and information about your event, indicating that you are raising funds for SITraN and including information who we are.
This will ensure that all the money received by the University from your Just Giving page for your sponsored event is passed on to SITraN to support its activities.
As an example, see irsty Mallinson's page raising funds for SITraN.
Good luck with your fundraising and we hope that you have an enjoyable and successful activity. Please send us your pictures and your stories, so we can include them in our news pages.
