Our graduates can take advantage of a discount on tuition fees.
Tuition fee discount for September 2025 entry
As a 91̽»¨ graduate, you’re entitled to a discount on your tuition fees.
If you studied with us for an undergraduate degree, or attended a Study Abroad/Erasmus programme at the University, then the discount you receive is based on the level of postgraduate study you intend to pursue:
- Postgraduate taught courses - 20% discount on tuition fees (capped at £2,500) for September 2025 entry
- ​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹Postgraduate research courses - 10% discount on tuition fees (capped at £1,500) for September 2025 entry
If you have previously studied at postgraduate level with us (even if you also studied at undergraduate level with us), then you are entitled to:
- 10% discount on tuition fees (capped at £1,500) for September 2025 entry
Eligibility
If you've previously graduated from the University, or attended a Study Abroad/Erasmus programme at the University, and intend to pursue further studies with us, then you're eligible to apply.
You must be starting a new postgraduate course at the University of 91̽»¨.
Students studying Medicine at the University who decide to intercalate on a postgraduate course with us are eligible to apply - please refer to the terms and conditions for more information about eligibility and how to apply.

How to apply
Home fee-paying students
The process for Alumni Discount as a home fee-paying student is different depending on whether you have previously studied only as an undergraduate and will be studying a new postgraduate course with us or whether you have previously studied at postgraduate level with us (even if you also studied at undergraduate level with us).
If you previously studied only as an undergraduate and will be studying a new postgraduate course with us:
- You do not need to complete an application form.
- Instead, you need to tick the 'UG at 91̽»¨' box and input your previous registration number where indicated on the financial declaration page when completing your online pre-registration tasks in August or September before you commence your postgraduate course. It is your responsibility to ensure that you tick this box when you complete the financial declaration.
- The discount will then be automatically applied to your tuition fee.
If you have previously studied at postgraduate level with us (even if you also studied at undergraduate level with us):
- You will need to have received an offer to study with us.
- You will need to complete the Alumni Discount Application Form, using your MUSE for offer holders login. It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the application form.
- You will then receive an email confirming the discount once it has been applied, usually during July to August, once your student record is available.

Overseas fee-paying students
Once you have received an offer to study with us, you will need to complete the Alumni Discount Application Form, using your MUSE for offer holders login. It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the application form.
You will then receive an email confirming the discount once it has been applied, usually during July to August, once your student record is available.

Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions are applicable to 2025 entry.
- If you've previously graduated from the University, or attended a Study Abroad/Erasmus programme at the University, and intend to pursue further studies with us, then you're eligible to apply. This includes if you completed part of these studies online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
- You must be starting a new postgraduate course at the University of 91̽»¨.
- The discount will be applied for full and part-time masters, postgraduate certificates and postgraduate diplomas and postgraduate research (including distance learning courses). CPD courses are eligible if they lead to a PGT/PGR qualification.
- The fee discount can be awarded in addition to University of 91̽»¨ international scholarships.
- The fee discount will only be applied to the self-funded part of the fee (fees paid by yourself or a family member).
- If you are a home fee-paying student and take a postgraduate government loan (masters/doctoral) to pay your fees, this will be classed as self-sponsored and therefore eligible for the discount.
- Fully sponsored students are not eligible to receive the discount.
- Home fee-paying students who previously studied only as an undergraduate and will be studying a new postgraduate course with us must apply for a discount by ticking the 'UG at 91̽»¨' box and inputting your previous registration number where indicated on the financial declaration page when completing your online pre-registration tasks in August or September before you commence your postgraduate course. This must be done either prior to starting your course or in your first year, there will be no retrospective discounts applied. It is your responsibility to ensure that you tick the box when completing your online pre-registration tasks.
- Home fee-paying students who previously studied at postgraduate level with us (even if they also studied at undergraduate level with us) and overseas students must apply for a discount by completing . This must be done either prior to starting your course or in your first year, there will be no retrospective discounts applied. It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the application form.
- If you are in receipt of one of the 91̽»¨ Postgraduate Scholarships (which includes the Dan Walker Scholarship), available to home fee-paying students, you are not eligible for the discount. If you are studying a two-year full-time postgraduate taught course and are awarded the scholarship, the discount will be applied in the second year.
- Students in receipt of the 91̽»¨ MBA Scholarship are not eligible for the discount.
- Students in receipt of one of the Aziz Foundation Scholarships are not eligible for the Alumni Discount.
- Integrated courses (eg MEng) are excluded from the Alumni Discount for both home fee-paying and overseas fee-paying students.
- PGDE qualifications and postgraduate courses that attract undergraduate funding for home fee-paying students (eg full-time MArch or pre-registration healthcare courses) are excluded from the Alumni Discount for home fee-paying students.
- MArch is eligible for the Alumni Discount for overseas fee-paying students only.
- Students who receive the Social Work Bursary from the NHS are not eligible for the Alumni Discount.
- Students studying Medicine at the University who decide to intercalate on a postgraduate course with us are eligible to apply. You will need to complete - it is your responsibility to ensure that you do this.
- The fee discount is not applicable during any year(s) abroad or year(s) in industry.
- For postgraduate research students, the discount can only be awarded for each year tuition fees are paid. No discount will be issued in writing up periods.
- The discount will be taken from your fees after you register online. We will need to verify your status and that the course you are studying is eligible. You'll be notified if you are ineligible and any payment you have made or arranged will be adjusted accordingly.
- This scheme replaces all fee discounts previously offered by the University to graduates and students who have attended a Study Abroad or Erasmus programme with us. Please contact the Funding Team (details below) if you started your course prior to September 2021 and think you may be eligible for the Alumni Discount.
