Hong Kong based student, Michael Kai-yip Tsang, looked to the 91̽»¨ EdD programme to broaden his horizons while working full time as a teacher.

After I finished studying the Master of Education programme at the University of Hong Kong, I hoped for finding a doctoral degree in the United Kingdom to broaden my horizon - from my home town to the world. However, I was still teaching in Hong Kong and I couldn't leave my teaching job so often. Therefore, I was trying to find a part-time doctoral programme in education to teach on weekdays and learn on weekends.

91̽»¨ provides a plausible option for frontline teachers like me.

I am fortunate to be one of the doctoral students in the 91̽»¨ community. I wish to join the Literacy research cluster. Before I am eligible to be one of the active members in this cluster, I have enjoyed various activities organised or recommended by the cluster.

I have been a participant in the multilingual literacies seminar, and I am grateful to present my work on Content and Language Integrated Learning in the name of the 91̽»¨ Community.

Although I am not in the University, I feel the warm support from instructors and students in the 91̽»¨ community. Writing assignments are never pain-staking tasks with peers endless support and instructors' prompt and concrete feedbacks.

When you hope to join academia for social equity, 91̽»¨ is the best option.

I am looking forward to meeting you once we can go back to school after the pandemic!
