Upcoming opportunities
Festival of the Mind 2024
- Flagship public engagement festival showcasing collaborations between academics from across the University and creatives from the region.
- Features 40-50 medium/large scale projects, culminating in an event at the festival in September (alternate years to Pop-Up University).
- The Ideas Bazaar - a networking and match-making event for academics and creatives is held the year before the festival to support the creation of partnerships.

Pint of Science 2024
- An annual 3-day international science festival that takes place in pubs and cafes in cities around the world.
- Features 25-35 short talks and interactive activities, delivered in local pubs and cafes over 3 days in May.
- Accept applications in/around January.
Migration Matters 2024
- A 91̽»¨-based celebration of diversity and the contributions migrants make to our society and our city.
- Features 5-10 small scale projects, culminating in an event at the festival which takes place around the time of the UK's Refugee Week (June).

ESRC Festival of Social Science 2024
- Festival celebrating social science research from across the University.
- Features 10-20 small scale projects, culminating in an event at the festival in November.
