Inclusivity questions
We have attempted to reflect accurately this church's responses. Phrases in quotation marks are exact quotations.
- What is your policy on gender roles/equality in leadership? St. John's says, "Women are in leadership in our Church. Everyone is welcome to be involved in the whole life of the Church no matter how you identify (trans, non-binary, intersex etc.)"
- What is your policy on same-sex relationships, especially with regard to leadership? St. John's says "Our Church has been engaging with the Church of England's Living in loving faith conversations. While there is probably a variety of views across the Church, the leadership are supportive of all people being loved by God and being able to participate fully in the life of the Church."
- What provision do you have for people with specific accessibility needs? Everyone is welcome and the vast majority of our space is wheel chair accessible (with accessible loos). Please talk to us about your needs, so that we can make Church a place where you feel safe. Our Church is committed to working with those with SEN and becoming trauma informed.
I am part of St. John’s as it is a community of believers at different life stages valuing the individual. I like it’s focus on social justice and heart for working in the community, it provides opportunities to get involved in a range of ministries.Quote text...
